They used to be the only reason I’d go in there. They’d have racks of these crummy old movies, poorly preserved ancient cartoons, and hilariously bad anime. And then one day it all just vanished and I haven’t seen them around since.
Family Dollar and these random dollar stores where I used to live had them as well but they vanished around the same time. I wonder what happened?
Troma Team Release Intro
What this basically means: The movie you are about to watch is very very crummy. Alcohol and snarky friends are strongly advised.
Nigel Tomm is either a total genius or the laziest artist in existence. His poems and “adapted” works are just random words strung together, his photography is just crumpled up photos that he probably cut out of magazines, and his film “adaptions” are just random colored screens that run for feature lengths.
Is it art or just lazy fraud? Can something be both at the same time?
Here you go. I know all of you want medals for these things, so I made you some. There’s even a template for you to make your own. Give yourselves a round of applause.
Toxic Crusaders Toy Ads
What’s weirder: That there was a kid’s cartoon series based off of Troma’s Toxic Avenger movies or that it spawned an awesome but largely overlooked line of toys?
